There is much to be said for a group of people hopping between wineries with a designated driver. You should treat them well and when it is your time - be the DD! This trip was nothing less than perfect! Had a great time with family and the new puppy Ozzie. He was ecstatic to have so much attention from Syd, and I must say she is a great furbabbysitter!

The campground was packed - as usual. If you plan on coming here - and I suggest you should - bring plenty of layers as it does get cold and night and the occasional snow flurry can occur. Also, fill up your LPs! Else you may find yourself a bit chilled and sleeping by the fire. Oh and don't forget - leave your firewood at home. They of course will sell you theirs - but unless you live in VA it is against state law (or so I am told) to bring in your wood. This doesn't mean that the wood found by the side of the road in VA isn't allowed ;). Purchasing by the roadside is cheaper and you get 'more'.
Happy camping and we will return!
