This is an RV campground in the middle of Columbia, SC. Sometimes, you could hear the traffic, but it was minimal. Necessities are outside the park on the left and right. Groceries, restaurants, etc.
The park has a great lake for boating and kayak, paddle boats and canoes can be rented at the Ranger Station. There is a camp store, but the ranger office has a lot of souvenirs.
Privacy is the key here. Most of the sites have shrubbery separating the sites giving a lot of privacy. Most of the sites on loop b are level or will level with minor blocking. The showers and restrooms were dated, but clean. A remodel or update would drastically improve both.
Entrance and exit must be done at a slow pace if you have a long camper/coach due to the trees and the angle of approach on the road. There is a lot of evidence that some have not taken this care and caution. When leaving, I noticed those with long RVs could not enter the dump station due to the length of their camper, but was able to pass it and then back into it. I didn't have this issue and am 28'.
No cable or WiFi. I did receive about 15 digital channels though. The Park Rangers were friendly, helpful and patrolled the campground often. This really is a delightful place to get away from everything for a couple of days.
I camped here often in 2013 for work, and I will return for a weekend get away.
